Remarks: We are at Silver Bay, MN. as we watch North Shore Mining empties, with NSM 1233-1234-1230-1236 ( 3 SD38's & 1 SD18) getting a run for the hill at MP4. Then at mp6.5, she is working hard in the hill. As the train passes, we spot the car that carried the first load from Babbit to Silver Bay. 4-13-00. Thanks for watching. Jackmp294...

Rare indeed as the 1233 was destroyed the following day (Friday, 4/14/00) in a collision with a tailings train caboose at Babbitt.

Yes it was Dave. I was doing some video on the LTV and NSM the next day, and heard it all on the scaner. We couldn't believe what we where hearing. After we shot this train, the tailings train came up with two Sd40-2's and the caboose. Little did we know that both these pieces would be destroyed. Thanks for bring this up, as I forgot all about that. Jackmp294.
