Remarks: On this trip it appeared that the SD40-2 helper era may be over, as I only saw SD40Es in service. If that's so, the SD40Es are a fitting replacement.
Nicely done. We came very close to being in that area at the same time; I was supposed to have spent that weekend in Cresson, but I had a scheduling conflict and wound up settling for a day trip on the 9th. I saw an autorack train that evening with a similar lashup, but the road unit was an SD70M instead.
Kudos to you folks in the Keystone State for subsidizing your accomplished talent behind the camera with Mother Nature's beautiful artwork in the background. Beautiful, just beautiful.
