Due to bandwidth constraints, only members of our affordably priced RVElite subscription service may view ultra high quality videos.

Ultra high quality videos are encoded at a higher video resolution (640x480, the size of this light gray box), are sampled at bitrates of 4000+k/sec, have no compression added, and may be viewed by our valued RVElite members in full-screen mode.

Remarks: Why drive on the crowded, busy interstate from Lorton, VA to Sanford, FL when you can load your car up with your carry-on baggage and let Amtrak do the driving for you? Fifteen superliners in addition to loaded auto carriers makes the Auto Train the longest train operated by Amtrak. It operates in both directions every day between it's two terminals, and is only scheduled to stop once in Florence, SC to change operating crews and fuel the locomotives. Today's southbound train is seen rounding the curve at Contentnea, just south of Wilson, NC, as the daylight fades to darkness. It is interesting to note that today's lead locomotive had to pull this train by itself from Petersburg, VA to Rocky Mount, NC one evening last week due to a locomotive failure caused by a debris strike.

Great Amtrak video! With 16 Superliners and 23 auto carriers it's a long passenger train indeed.
