Remarks: ES40DC 5501 led a pair of battle-scarred C40-8s - 7550 and 7608 - on the April 10th edition of L173 as the train sailed past the Ashland station at 1:08 PM. The southbound Carolinian was not about to let 173 have all the glory though, and jumped in front of the camera just moments after the intermodal's power had rolled by.
