Remarks: Now with sound! As the second millennium draws to a close BNSF's #912 (ex-Santa Fe) leads an 8-engine lash-up along Fort Collins Mason Street as the evening light fades and the commuters who race the train switch on their lights. As the local dance students strut their stuff 912 is followed by the 8262, an EMD SD75 from 1995. Following are 605 and 917, General Electric Dash 9 and Dash 8 models respectively. Then comes the 7060, a Burlington Northern SD40, followed by the 612, another Dash 9. Grey liveried 8506 is a leased General Electric U39B, and last but not least is the 6823, another BN SD40. This is an extract from the programme Freight on the Overland Route at the end of the 20th Century, which can be seen at TheRailwayStation.tv

Fantastic video!!! I'm so glad I chose to view this!!! Not only was it the coolest street running video, but to have war bonnets just iced it!! I really enjoyed the distraction in the dance studio, (not everyone is a rail fan),I just want you to know how much I enjoyed the last 4 minutes and 20 seconds!

The essence of street running perfectly caught - the dusk light adds considerably to the atmosphere.

Awesome. "Film at 11, or what?" That capped it off for me. Great clip.

One of best street running films I have seen. Amazing and thanks for sharing.

Jeremy: What a fabulous video! As a rail fan I enjoyed seeing the 8-engine lash-up headed with #912 and its Santa Fe livery; but on the artistic side of your piece you excellently caught a wonderful "snapshot" of an American evening in Colorado. There is something poignant, something visually pleasurable and stimulating about seeing this "slice of life", people dancing and just people on the street, as the train moves freight diligently across the country. Thanks for the show...now I am going to go back and watch it again! Sincerely, Gregory
