Remarks: A NICTD rail train lead by the only diesel actually owned by the passengar contigent of the Chicago South Shore & South Bend holds the siding at Miller for two passengars before continuing west for Burnham Yard at Stateline. A few years back the frieght and passengar portions seperated themselves from each other, incase one were to fail, both would not crumble. The two entities are now the NICTD, and the South Shore Frieght. The mainline is maintained by the NICTD, and any frieght only used portions of the railroad are maintained by the South Shore frieght as far as I know. Its pretty rare to catch the NICTD's only GP38-2 out and about, as it is only used for work trains, and in this instance, they even neded to borrow one of CSS's freight engines.
