Remarks: The hill up to Sun Valley does little to slow this overpowered Van train. In the days of the C30-7a's, Eastbound drags would struggle to make 18 or 20 MPH through here.

Overpowered?! That's the way they SHOULD be running! :) When your competition is a truck, enough power to (barely) "get over the road" doesn't cut it. I think they key word in your post was "drags." It's one thing to underpower low priority manifest trains, and quite another to send your priority intermodal trains through the hills without sufficient power to keep things moving.
