Remarks: My first visit to the wonderful Laona & Northern Railway in the summer of 1998. Motive power is 2-6-2 No. 4, a 1916 Vulcan, known as the "4 Spot." We first see the engine under steam at the Snyder's Landing depot at 9:00 AM. The "Lumberjack Special" then departs for Camp Five (in reverse). We then see various other shots of the train out running on the line between Snyder's and Camp Five. When the clouds rolled in that afternoon, we called it a day.
