Remarks: My only encounter with Pooch units was a surprise visit by 3 of them deadheading through Spartanburg south towards New Orleans. I imagine this was a power move for the Sunset Limited out of New Orleans. The second part shows two former N&W Geeps pulling hard to get local train P85 up the hill from Beaumont Jct.
