Remarks: It was quite a surprise to see KCS 4576 leading this Boardman coal train west across Bozeman Pass, even more of a surprise to see what it did at the west bore of the tunnel, was not expecting such a display. The wind blew the exhaust over the interstate nearby.

Nice catch! He sure was smoking it up. At about 1:14 you can see the conductor walking back along the second or third engine to inspect the problem.

Pretty common site to see the conductor headed back to the trailing units upon exiting the bore. The Helpers must've just been eating it!

Rode through that tunnel a few years back but wasn't quite that smoky!
