Remarks: Having come away from my first visit to the Gwathmey Church Road crossing with only a single broadside shot, I was back out on August 1st to try again. No cycling club trash collectors to contend with this time, but the leaden clouds worried me a little. Still, the forecast said only a 20% chance of rain, so I had faith.
Sunrise was at 6:18, but the clouds kept the light down as ES44AC 747 and SD70MAC 4573 started off the morning with a northbound train of SCWX hoppers at 7:33.
