Remarks: The 3 pm Yard job operates most days to haul mixed freight to the Tilden mine and perform other miscellaneous switching duties. Cars of bentonite clay and chemicals are delivered to the LS&I for use in the iron ore pellet making process at the mine. After switching the pellet plant, this job typically returns with the empty freight cars and a train of ore loads. Scene 1: U30Cs #3008 & #3009 go to work sorting cars and assembling the outbound train in Eagle Mills yard next to the tower. Scene 2: With switching completed, the 3 Yard rolls through Eagle Mills Junction on the way to the Tilden.
