Remarks: When I arrived at this bridge I found that there was an open air party or concert in progress only about 500 yards away - very noisy, and the live band were absolutely awful. Having suffered an hour of thump, thump, thump, thump 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe approached with the returning Beckoning Bard railtour from Stratford Upon Avon to Marylebone in London. The noise from the loco first matched, then eclipsed and finally obliterated the racket coming from the field. Turn your speakers up to full and savour the sound of this 4 cylinder machine climbing up the bank to Brill Tunnel
