On the other hand, it may be the wave of the future. If I were a corporate CEO, looking to draw less public scrutiny in this day and age of large bonuses and taxpayer bailouts, would I go out and buy a corporate Lear jet for a cool $2 million, or would I refurbish a private rail car at less than half of that? The trip would take much longer but it would be much more enjoyable. Food for thought, anyway.
