Remarks: A westbound train of empty coal hoppers is cresting the grade at Allegheny on the old C&O mainline. I compressed the tunnel sequence, but you can still see the train turn the corner at the west end of the tunnel.
Great one, Rob. I really love that location and the rain adds a nice effect. Does the line merge to single track through the tunnel or is there a second tunnel not visible in the video?

Wet rails don't seem to be a problem for this fellow. I like the composition of this video, especially the tunnel sequence following the end of the train through the tunnel.

Great Video. Was at this location in very early November 2009 to photograph this area for my fifth time since 1996.
My friend Lou Schultz has a huge (HO) layout of the Allegheny Sub from Hinton to Clifton Forge.
