Remarks: No, Canadian Pacific's Empress isn't VIA Rails newest locomotive, however she is leading a VIA train consist! VIA Rail and Canadian Pacific teamed up in order to create the Easter Seals Express, a special run from Vancouver to Mission and return, raising money to send kids to camp. Here she is flying by at Albion.

Those Chinese Locomotive's aren't a big fan of mine personally. They're neat looking but sadly have a whistle sounding a lot like Metra's horns. They're not a Ok breed of steamer's but nothing like the good old one's made in America. The Chinese don't know nothing when it comes to building steamers. Besides this, an amazing video, with a great runby!

That is not and has never been a Chinese steamer. It's an original Canadian Pacific engine, built in Canada.

Dang. And I thought for a second the Canadian was back on the C.P. Great Video Matthew

2816 is a product of MLW. Always great to see the Empress running. Be great to see her in eastern Canada sometime soon hopefully

I always thought that CP engines have a distinct Canadian look, How could some won think that she is Chinese?

The hair rose on the back of my neck when I saw this one! Nothing like a steam engine racing by with the whistle blowing in a fly-by. Great video Matthew!
