Remarks: For the 10th year in a row, the Canadian Pacific RR has toured it's festive holiday-themed train. This train is all decked out in lights and flashy signs, that are sure to get the attention of anyone trackside. We'll follow the train north out of Scranton, PA, on the night of Black Friday. We'll follow them as far as New Milford, as they'll continue on to Binghamton and other NY destinations. If you're not in the Christmas spirit yet, you will be after seeing this!
There are two identical holiday trains. One tours the US and the other mostly Canadian towns. The only difference that I can see is that the US train has the US flag on the right side and the Canadian flag on the left side of the AC4400CW, while in Canada the Canadian flag is on the right side and the US flag on the left.
Being Canadian and seeing these train every year (Once in person in Toronto) never ceases too amaze me.Although I think there are a number of these trains working different sectors of the U.S and Canadian raillines.I love the fact that these big trains all lit up and bringing food and toys to less fortunate.Obviously to The C.P.R it is a big the cost, too run and operate these trains for about a month, but the Thought Behind It, says so much. What can I say except that it just brings the heart into my throat to see these brutes angelically running the cold steel rails on both sides of North America. It more that shows the Affection & Service brought to everyone by these trains. So too my Canadian Pacific Railway, my,Hats off too and especially to those people who operate and drive these trains all over the place.I'm afraid the only thing I can do is a bring a Toy or Food to the next stop you make in my area and of course too say ""THANK YOU"" for a Job Well Done.Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and "Be Lucky in 2009".

The pacing shot is awesome (especially with all of the cars passing you)!
I saw that train three different times that day. At Scranton Yard, near Hallstead, & at the East Binghamton Yard. I almost got hit by that train. He was flying by like a bullet.
