Remarks: Absolutely beautiful fall foliage along the R&N between Port Clinton and Jim Thorpe, as the gutsy 425 barrels through Port Clinton, Drehersville, New Ringgold, the Tamaqua Tunnel (stack talk!), the Hometown Trestle, Nesquehoning, and the final stop at Jim Thorpe station. I hope you enjoy the chase, as well as the color! I do apologize for some pixelation at the Tamaqua Tunnel scene, due to the compression, but the stack talk should make up for it. :-)
I can only assume those two diesels were helping the steamer. The train looked too long for just the steamer to haul. The diesels looked like they were poorly maintained, rust all over them and missing panels. The steamer looked better maintained than the other two. I loved the sky dome car at the end of the train. Thanks for sharing. It keeps our rail heritage alive!!!

I would like to know where you see (rust and missing panels). The R@N diesel fleet is well maintained. They may not be clean but what do u expect from a working railroad.
I'm not a great fan of the color on the locomotive, but the sound more than makes up for it. I have seen several videos of this locomotive and it has a great bark when working hard and the whistle is awesome. The only time I detected any work from the SD's was coming into Jim Thorpe and that sounded like dynamic brakes. Very nice video, Thanks

I remember seeing the 425 in videos when I was five years old, back when it was painted entirely black. Now I'm 15, and the RN impressed me with the bright blue. And those shots were pretty, despite you not having a tripod. I wish I was that good.
