It is neat to see Alco's with GE's. I was at a recent campground with a former L & N railroad engineer, who operated C420's on the Pensacola & Atlantic subdivision. The C420 could be compared to the AC44CW of their days.

I forgot to mention that I can vividly remember jointed rails on the Pensacola and Atlantic sub through Chipley, Florida, and when the rails went to continuously welded, there went the Pensacola and Atlantic. To me, L & N's Pensacola and Atlantic will live on with the great old bolted rail! Long live the L & N P&A sub's awesome bolted rails - clickety-clack!
