With ridership as high as it is and the fact that the IVs were overhauled not too long ago, I think that the IVs will be running under SEPTA colors for quite a few years.

Yeah, its the former RDG/PRR Budd & St. Louis Cars that the new equipment will replace in operations...not the GEs.

I dont think the Siverliner IV will be retired any time soon They will be needed to supplant the rush hour ridership

The Silverliner V are going to replace the Silverliner II and III. The Silverliner IV have at least 10 more years as there is a rumored Silverliner VI coming out to replace them at that time.
