WOW, Thats cool!

I have NEVER seen a steam loco pushing intermodal cars! That's a lucky catch!

That's cool.

Indeed, a steam engine pushing an intermodal; what a contrast! What surprises me, is the quietness of the scenes while it's working. I also like when the whistle echoes across town, and the list goes on and on... Thanks Adam for sharing your beautiful videos.

Great video. It's great to see what railroading would be like... had the iron horses remained

This is my idea of "Mall Duty" My wife can raid Macys or Dilliards and I do some railfanning

Excellent video! I'm not used to seeing '54 shuffle cars around. I love that loco though. What whistle does she use?

I was lucky enough to be the grandson of a CNR engineer in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and spent many summers up in the cab with my grandfather. My other grandfather was a traveling salesman and rode the rails from one end of Canada to the other, so he had lots of stories about what it was like to travel by train in those days. What an incredible experience spending my days in the yards and in the cabs. I was a witness to the transition to diesel, almost seemed to happen overnight. I remember the cut up yard in Ottawa on the way into town, the carcasses of steam engines laying around in various stages of evisceration. Videos of these old CNR steam engines sure bring back memories and are just priceless! Thanks and keep them coming!!

I was here in the fall of 1994 and I had myself a real field day

I thought Steamtown was only a tourist railway
