Did they move ahead to clear the crossing, or did they block the crossing for the entire 10 minutes?

Wonder if the cop car pulling up behind that vehicle had anything to do with him stopping as soon as the crossing signals activated? Didn't appear to be gates at that crossing.

Amtrak will sit and block that crossing for at least a few minutes, sometimes longer as Patrick mentioned. Station is directly past the crossing. Nice video Patrick.

Nighttime means that this train will continue on to Grand Rapids. The Train and Crew will stay overnight and return to Chicago in the Morning. This is Amtrak's Pere Marquette. Train 370 and 371
