Remarks: One evening out on the famous 3 track main with the commute parade still behind vintage EMD power. That's the voice of R. A. Egen announcing an "11 second stop" in the second take.

An eleven second stop? Sounds like he was in notch 8 right out of the station.

Beautiful video, Lowell! Thanks for the vintage EMD 567 sounds.

Thanks for the memories. Note many of tne BN E units were sent for rebuilding at Morrison Knudsen in Boise, ID in the early 1970's. Among the many upgrades, 645 power assemblies were installed.

Shame they don't make 'em like that anymore....

Most enjoyable seeing what E-units did best! Run like racehorses! Thank you for posting this.

This was my first place I went to in 1978 it was very high speed, and smooth. it was how people did not watch when they would cross the tracks, that caught my attention! Lowell did a fine job.

I was 8 years old and went to the EMD Celebrations. I remember those engines fondly and hence my handle bn9900. I used to hang out at Stone Ave station 1 stop west of la Grange Road. Thanks for the memories.
