Remarks: During the month of April, the Wilmington & Western uses the Doodlebug quite frequently, due to the lack-of-ridership in the off-season. The train will go to Mt. Cuba, and then to Hockessin and return. We'll be following the entire Hockessin trip, featuring many angles only possible with this little gem. So sit back, and enjoy this trackside journey through the Red Clay Valley. For more info on the W&W, visit thier website at www.wwrr.com

It's good to see a doodlebug in action. Great Work!

Nice job! Very professional. That horn certainly gets its message across in no uncertain terms.

What a fantastic view of railroad history. I replayed this 9 times before I put it in my favorites. Thanks for sharing!

Interesting; what ship did that horn come off ? That is a classic case of the bark being a lot worse than the bite.

That horn is actually off of a GG-1. It most likely wore a Leslie A-200 back in the Pennsy days as well. That horn on the back... god only knows where that came from.

Adam, Absolutely one of the best videos I have seen! Thanks for sharing this experience with those of us who are not fortunate enough to have ridden or seen an actual "Doodlebug" in action. Keep up the great work. Thanks!

Great Video. I'm sure that horn on the back is one of the SW1's originals. The horn on the back changes "often." I have seen a 3 chime on there, a 5 chime and a 2 chime as well.

I've just noticed. One of my YT friends was the conductor on that train. I met him last month.
