I don't understand "struggling". The driver is just comming out of using his dynamic brakes as you can hear even before you can see the motors enter the frame. Then as he starts to take the train uphill he only gives enough power to maintain what is probably the maximum speed on this branch. No struggling, just good locomotive hustling by an experienced driver. Nice location though. Thanks for sharing.

How I hated working this line! He's having to slow down for the crossing due to a local ordinance. Even crossings with full protection (lights, bells & gates) in Chapel Hill you still had to just about stop before crossing through. If the engineer is the same one when I was there, he is very experienced and great to work with.
