Remarks: The famous town of Jim Thorpe lies at the foot of Blue Mountain, and is apart of the Lehigh Gorge. The Reading & Northern Railroad operates excursions through the gorge using it's fleet of EMD SD50s. Running push-pull style, the short passenger train is an easy job for these enormous locomotives. We'll pace the train through the snow-covered park and leave it off before the train crosses the Lehigh River. For more info on this railroad, visit thier webpage @ www.lgsry.com
