Wow! The SP 745 is a big hit, because i am a member of Louisiana Steam train Association in New Orleans. I got see her at the steam up at the yard and she is very loud.

Ditch lights detract (only my opinion!) and they are not required.

The ditch light were required by the host railroads as part of the contract to operate over their main lines.

Ah I see. That's too bad. We ran into the same problem with NJTransit in 1998 and had to put them on 614. Sadly they have never been taken off!
