Remarks: In a sight sure to warm the heart of any RF&P fan - or N&W, Southern, or Pennsy for that matter - GP40-2 4450 (ex-Conrail 3396) was running long hood forward as it led welded rail train B025 through Ruther Glen a little after noon on the 28th, accompanied by Road Slug 2316 and its mother unit, GP40-2 6939 (ex-Western Maryland 4368). The welded rail gondolas all retained their Chessie System logos and lettering, and the big red exclamation point on the whole affair was bay window caboose 904000, painted in a special scheme to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the Baltimore & Ohio. Such a train would be a tough act to follow, but Q439 tried its best as it roared past less than 3 minutes later behind an all-EMD trio: SD70MAC 4706, CEFX SD40-2 3104 (ex-Canadian Pacific), and HLCX SD40-2 6211 (ex-Milwaukee Road/SOO/DM&E).

The same exact same train is now parked in downtown Ocean Springs, MS. It has the cabose and all. The only thing different is the first unit is behind the two other units. The train is facing east. I noticed it does say 175th anniversary. At the top of the cabose it says "The spirit of the B&O". I also noticed the gondolas have been relettered. Another thing is that it only has one long rail. I have heard they were doing track work near Kesler Air-Force Base. I like the video!
