Remarks: Just a single daily passenger train rattles through Bathurst, the XPT to and from Dubbo. But, on mondays the once per week service to Broken Hill rolls through on it's 13 hour 1125 km trek. After the Indian Pacific was privatized, far west NSW residents complained that they no longer had a passenger service. Countrylink eventually introduced the DMU rail car service WP45, returning as WP46 on tuesdays. The XPT was the fastest train in Australia when introduced in 1981.

Another excellent video Steve. I love all of the huge horseshoe curves.
