Remarks: A nice surprise after getting out of bed predawn to find a veteran Aussie Alco loitering at Kelso. 4458 was built by A. E. Goodwin in 1961, purged by the SRA in 1995 being acquired by Hunter Valley Rail Freight. They painted it silver. It now toils for the IRA. A Helga and GE thing make up the trio of power working train 8166 back east to Sydney.
