Remarks: A MOW move that had been dodging traffic all morning on its trip north from Elmont finally got permission to proceed after waiting for Amtrak at Doswell. Something far bigger was lurking around the corner, however. Just 4 minutes behind on the other main was Q400-11, led by an amazing lashup - SD60I 8748 (doubling as a crop duster, apparently), AC6000CW 616, C40-8W 7904, and five more AC6000s, albeit with their stacks capped - 652, 638, 697, 632, and 625. The giants were most likely headed to Cumberland for a reawakening.
Whew, this train was incredible and very long! These units were most likely also going for repainting after maintenance at Cumberland or wherever. Does CSX still have all their AC6000CW's in service?
