Remarks: The northshore of Lake Superior was the most expensive part of the railroad to build per mile. They literally had to drill threw solid rock, build tunnels, and create ledges to lay down the rail. You have to hike into a most of the spots on the north shore, but well worth it. There are many truly amazing locations for pictures, and videos along here, but will take some effort. OH ya, bring your bear repellant.
