Remarks: RM 93 a Gardner 102 hp built in 1950 performs the twice per week Gulflander service running on the isolated 152 km railway in the Gulf region from Normanton to Croydon. The line was opened in 1891 when gold was discovered around Croydon. Crocodiles, cane toads and steel sleepers, the Gulflander is today basically a tourist operation at the leisurely pace of 40 kph.
