Remarks: Back in the days before through running of motive power and privatization, interstaters running between Sydney and Adelaide plus Perth swapped motive power and crews at Broken Hill, near the South Australian border, 1124 km (by rail) from Sydney. 4000 tuscan NSW alco horses are changed to 6000 green Aussie National GE horses and interstater 3SA5 continues west to Adelaide.
