Remarks: In the early to mid ninties when visiting Atlanta I would often make a stop for a few hours at Howell Wye. This is before all the security issues of today and you wouldn't be arrested or ran off the property. In 1990 NS,Amtrak and the color and variety of the early days of CSX could be seen.

I grew up on the Rathole or CNO&TP 2nd District right around MP 185,186 that general area and in the 70s and 80s wee would walk the tracks then the merger but still we had no trouble untill about 95 or so one day i was told that i could no longer use the routes i had since i was 5 to go hunting fishing or anything else for that matter it really upset me there is nothing i can do about it but i wish my grand father knew back then what i know today because the little line relocation in the early 1960 would have cost them a lot more money he gave them a lot of rightaway in that area and today i cant even walk on it hope the need some more because i will put in my will not to be sold to cinc sou cno&tp or especially NS and im not gonna say what they can kiss but you all know where im coming from.
