Remarks: On Saturday June 4th, 2011, UP 844 made the trek from St. Louis to Cape Girardeau, MO, as part of the Little Rock Express heritage tour. Trailing the 844 was the Mopac heritage locomotive, UP 1982. The train crossed the MacArthur Bridge into Illinois early in its trip and then went south on the Chester Sub to Thebes, where it again crossed into Missouri. The first scene in this video shows the northern crossing the west approach of the MacArthur in downtown St. Louis. The second scene is right across the river in Illinois. The third scene shows the engine in Columbia speeding towards its whistle stop in Dupo, IL. The final scene is from Modoc, a small town way outside of the St. Louis suburbs.
