Remarks: Not living on an Amtrak route my encounters were often rare and far between.
However I did manage to catch a few between 1987 and 1999. Here a few lead by the EMD F40PH.
Thank you for posting this. I remember these locomotives well when I was growing up. Believe it or not, I thought the coolest thing about them was the strobe lights. Glad to see that on almost everyone you caught the strobe lights were on.
