Remarks: In May 1987 the L&N 152 headed south over the NS for some excursions that were to be held in Virginia and North Carolina. In these clips the 152 patched as NS 152 rolls south through Kentucky for Stearns. At Stearns the patrons were treated to the Big South Fork Railroad before returning north behind N&W's 611.
Really nice video. This beautiful engine is still operational at the Kentucky Railway Museum in New Haven Kentucky. It is actually more authentic looking now with the L&N logo on the sides of the cab instead of NS as shown here on this special trip. That is the original L&N whistle heard in this video and it is still used often today.

She is not running. She just came out of service for her 15-year overhaul. It should be back by a year or two.
