Remarks: At 8:56am on Monday, April 27, 1998, an eastbound manifest train rolls around a nice curve in Ludlow, California, milepost 694.7 of BNSF's Needles Subdivision with BN SD40-2 #8017, BNSF SD40-2 #6359, ATSF GP30u #2763, and BNSF GP35u #2618. We could actually see the train "snaking" its way across the desert for over thirty minutes before it actually got to us.
