Remarks: Snow blasting IN YOUR FACE! One day after the "Storm of 2011" brought over a foot of snow to west Michigan, Amtrak's P371 had the honor to clear the crossings built up by snowplows along its Grand Rapids-to-Chicago journey. The Main St. crossing in the small town of Fennville had about 4 feet of snow piled up on each side, but it was no match for the cabbage leading the way through the elevated curve at over 40mph. I was set up at least 50 yards beyond the crossing, but a wave of snow still managed to reach the camera.

Fantastic first offering. Looks like it got you a Screener's Choice, and deservedly so. Locomotive "snow busting" ranks right up there with cab rides and yard switching on my list of favorites posted to this site.

WOW, a dream come true. I loved the snow busting. I am still waiting on my first high speed snowbusting shot. Thanks for sharing.

THAT is cool! I was expecting just one "bump". Wicked angle. Now, as for the noise, have you considered putting a lampshade over the microphone?

That was excellent, I live in an area of the world where we do not get snow, im in nothern Australia. The sound and quality was also very well done.

That was AWESOME. The elevated curve and show make it look as if the train has left the tracks and is coming right at you. I LOVED IT!!!!!

I would pay the plow driver to pile snow at that crossing. What a show, great job.
