Remarks: UP's Challenger 3985 made a fast run to Gorham on October 7th to turn on the wye. It then headed back north to St. Louis on the same day. At a few detectors along the route, the locomotive was traveling at 61 mph. The first scene is at Fountain, where the locomotive blasts across the bridge. Then we catch the train at Chester. The third scene is by far the best for video, as the 3985 runs at 60 mph over a farm road crossing south of Fults. The final scene shows the engine slowing for its stop at the crossovers in Valmeyer.
