Remarks: After 35 miserable years the fastest steam engine in Bulgaria - 05.01 was restored this year and now is under steam again! On 15 December the loco made a short trial run in Sofia, but 16 December was the big day for it. The locomotive must climb to station Vakarel with three passenger cars into a heavy snowfall.
On the video 05.01 is going through the steep ascent before station Vakarel. Note that the locomotive can not run very fast here, even with only 3 cars. The ascent is very heavy, even for the electric locomotives in such bad weather.
